The Head of The Commonwealth of Nations should be an elected position.
A heredity head of The Commonwealth of Nations devalues the institution and the United Kingdom.
All positions of influence should be held on merit.
The office should be held for a single term of fixed length.

The decision on how the Head of the Commonwealth is chosen is the responsibility for all members of the Commonwealth, not the UK Government or Parliament.
You could start a new petition asking the UK Government to urge other Commonwealth governments to consider making the position an elected one, if that's what you want to happen.
