A pre-biopsy MRI prostate assessment should be offered all men with elevated PSA
A pre-biopsy MRI assessment with contrast agent can detect prostate cancer not detected by the PSA test. All men with symptoms consistent with prostate cancer should be offered an MRI assessment within four weeks by their GP. This will aid early diagnosis improving patient outcome.
