Increase the minimum wage for apprentices to at least £6

Petition Details

Currently the minimum wage for apprentices is £3.70. This means that if an apprentice works 40 hours per week, they will only receive £7,696 a year. This is not enough money to live off and does not provide a big enough incentive for school levers to start work and have a successful career.
