ID for voting is discriminatory and undemocratic.
The Government plans to force people in some areas to provide ID in order to be able to vote in local elections; this may prejudice minority groups. The Electoral Reform Committee says studies from around the world show that demanding photographic ID from voters makes it less likely they will vote.
