Give applicants to jobs, equal opportunities as those with and without a degree.
With exception to vocations, where a degree is necessary (such as clinicians, teachers and similar roles). It appears that there are jobs that clearly state that the applicant needs to have a degree.
This is discriminatory to those applicants, who may have several years experience in the field.
There are people, who when they reached the end of formal education, decided to get employment rather than to continue their studies.
These people are no at a disadvantage when applying for jobs, as the advert states that the applicant must have a degree. This therefore negates any experience that the applicant may have gained from working in the field.
People may have chosen not to attend University due to family commitments, finances or even because they did not feel they were academic.

At the moment, this is a decision for employers, not the UK Government or Parliament.
