Petition Action

Stop the FA selling Wembley

Petition Details

The FA is considering selling Wembley, the home of our national football team to be used as the permanent home of an NFL American Football team. Wembley is the most historic stadium in the world and has been the home of English football since 1923.
Our national team will have no home!

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Any decision about selling Wembley Stadium is the responsibility of the Football Association, not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could contact the FA directly about this issue:
http://www.thefa.com/about-football-association/contact-us

You could start a new petition to ask the UK Government to urge the FA not to sell Wembley Stadium.
