Reduce waste by aligning the price of single items with thier multipack option
Multipacks of items, e.g. canned foods, are regularly wrapped in plastic, but work out cheaper than buying the items loose.
This encourages consumption of unnecessary plastic as people opt to save money.
Plastic is polluting our world and we need to work to reduce it's use any way we can.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This would be a commercial decision for retailers, not the Government and Parliament. You could contact retailers directly about this issue.
You could start a new petition asking for the Government to ban plastic wrapping for multipacks, if that's what you want to happen. You may also wish to sign one or more of the plastic packaging petitions we currently have open on the site: petition.parliament.uk/petitions?q=plastic&state=open
