Personal data supplied to the DVLA is kept secure.
The DVLA sells personal data to private parking companies for a fee this should be stopped. Our personal data is not supplied to enable the DVLA to sell it on.
We have to inform the DVLA of any changes to our personal details if we own a vehicle or hold a driving license. We do so in the belief that the information supplied will be kept secure and not used to generate revenue.
The DVLA does supply our personal data to private parking companies who are willing to pay for it.
It should be the responsibility of private landlords to ensure that only authorised personnel can access their car parks easy enough to do electronic barriers etc.
