Petition Action

Introduce a national Biometric ID Card system

Petition Details

We, the undersigned, believe that all residents of the United Kingdom should be issued with a Biometric Identity Card in order to reduce time and costs to Government agencies in checking legal residents and citizens’ status.

Additional Information

We further believe that a national Biometric ID Card would streamline the system, reduce costs and protect law abiding legal residents and citizens in the UK whilst at the same time making life more difficult for those that choose to defraud or harm us. We also believe that a Biometric ID Card System would put every entitled resident or UK citizen on a level playing field.

We therefore call upon the Government to introduce legislation at the earliest possible opportunity to bring in a national Biometric ID Card system.
