Make the carrying of Identity Cards mandatory.
Having identity cards would make it easier for the authorities to check on those people who should not be in this country. It will also help identify those people who are using the NHS as 'health tourists'. They will also help to identify criminals who are wanted by the police.
To identify those who are abusing the UK benefits system and National Health Service and to assist the police and border authorities in identifying such persons.
No person who is lawfully in this country or is going about their lawful business would object to the carrying or producing of such a card.
The Identity Cards should carry an identity number which is traceable throughout all departments of Her Majesty’s Government. They should be with iris or fingerprint definition and only be required to be produced by a bona fide police officer, on production of his warrant card, or by a Border Control/ Immigration Officer, or when requesting services of the National Health Service.
