Introduce food vouchers as a form of child benefit to help prevent child poverty
Recently published research by the NEU and Child Poverty Action Group found malnourished pupils filling their pockets with food at school. Child benefits are not being spent wisely enough by some parents.
Child poverty affects one in four children in the UK.
Child poverty costs the country £29 billion per year.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you're concerned about child poverty, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, we're not sure whether you'd like parents to be given the option of receiving part or all of their child benefit in the form of food vouchers, or whether you'd like it to be compulsory.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
