Petition Action

I would like to stop discrimination for families with children with SEN.

Petition Details

Families of children with SEN are being treated unfairly and great diversity is being shown by professionals. Incorrect judgements are being made causing great distress and unnecessary mistreatment to families who have children with needs.

Additional Information

I have two children with SEN and I wish to inform change to upskill professionals to understand the difficulties that families face. I wish to change the judgements that these professionals hold, and support families that are too worried and scared to have a voice.

I would also like to inform change for an overview of local authority policy.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We understand that you're concerned about the current support provided to families with children who have special educational needs, but we're not sure what exactly you'd like the Government to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
