Give people opportunities for pride, respect and self-worth

We must change our benefits system to break the cycle of boredom, rioting, selfishness, obesity and criminality which define the UK.

Everyone should be given an opportunity to "work", to earn self-esteem, self-worth and pride in achievement, to positively socialise and gain respect from others who value their contribution.

The government needs to bring in a catalogue of "work" options where activities can be referenced and tailored individually but everyone HAS to contribute something in return for their "benefit" wage. Activities could be from home or in the community ranging from as little as 1 hour a week up to 6 hours a day.

We can turn this country around, but only if we all work together and get pride back in ourselves.
