Allow the English to have a referendum on their own national anthem.
The English by-and-large want to change their national anthem for many reasons, one of which is simple in that it does not speak of or invoke a sense of English nationhood.
With demand this high, we should at least have a right to a democratic say in what our anthem should be.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
As you know, there isn't an official English anthem at the moment.
We're not sure whether you'd like a referendum to decide whether there should be an official anthem for England, or whether you'd like a referendum to choose a specific song to be the anthem.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
