To make public transport in the UK at an affordable and fixed price for everyone
Currently, public buses are priced extortionately high and need reducing. Seniors get free transport on buses, while everyone else pays over the odds for the same service. Some companies charge £1 for any U18's journey but some charge as much as £4.30 for a 5-6 mile trip. this must be stopped.
£1 journey is on a Go-Northeast bus.
£4.30 is on an Arriva service in County Durham.

Bus fares are not set by the UK Government. Local bus operators (bus companies) are free to set their own fares. However, local transport authorities (usually local councils) have the power to set maximum fares in some circumstances.
