United Kingdom should pull out of Eurovision Song Contest
It is clear the level of "political" voting is making a mockery of the contest - the money the UK is spending on the event would be better spent on the NHS
For several years the voting demonstrates ludicrous inconsistency and insults those countries that submit genuinely worthwhile performances

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The decision to spend money on the Eurovision Song Contest is made by the BBC, which is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of Government and there is no provision for the Government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
You might like to write to the BBC to make this suggestion.
