stop paying for eurovision as voting is political
The Eurovision song contest is a political machine and we should stop paying for it
The 2018 uk entry was superb.The audience gave her the biggest cheer
yet she finished 3rd last, The voting is a disgrace and the whole thing is a waste of money

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The decision to spend money on the Eurovision Song Contest is made by the BBC, which is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of Government and there is no provision for the Government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
