Petition Action

A fresh look at Hi-tech solutions to reduce traffic congestion nationwide.

Petition Details

Using roads sensibly will save most people money and will help save lives; according to the BBC article 1 in 6 deaths worldwide are due to pollution.
We want the government to look at solutions available today that can dramatically reduce congestion, such as a smart phone app for car sharing.

Additional Information

Using a Car share app on a phone provides high levels of safety and an alternate lift home if necessary.

The government is obliged to improve air quality. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-38990192

Using DfT report from 2005, an example an average car travelling 20 miles each day with 3 occupants, will save £1,000 per occupant per year.
