Extend the Culture Secretary's recent FOBT decision to cover online casino games
On 17th May, Culture Secretary Matt Hancock opted to limit stakes on FOBTs in high street Bookmakers to £2 from £100 on the grounds they are “a social blight”. The policy needs to extend to the very same games of chance on bookmakers/casino websites, usually undertaken in a solitary environment.
Online 'FOBT' games offer no social interaction and less protection than the high street equivalent.
