Since the start of year 2018, violent and hate crime has increased significantly in most parts of the UK, especially in London. In the first quarter of 2018, the murder rate in london was at highest in last 3 decades. Violent crime is uncontrollable at the moment in most parts of the country.

Additional Information

In the last 2 weeks, Birmingham has had hit by violent crime so badly. People of UK deserves an answer from UK government and relevant authorities. Criminals are making a fool of judicial system. Stabbing or shooting someone is becoming like a hobby. It is now time to make those sentences harder and put those criminals behind the bars for a long time and reinstate capital punishment for both murder and rape.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you're concerned about sentences for violent crime, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
