Stop Vets charging for signing prescriptions for drugs you wish to buy online
I have just been charged £10.00 for a signature on a script for a drug which I fulfilled at a pharmacy for £2.40! (14 tabs). This in my view is the Veterinary Profession taking unfair advantage of their monopoly.
At most these signatures should be £5 plus I suggest they should free for pensioners

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
At the moment, vets are free to set their own charges, so this isn't something that the UK Government or Parliament are responsible for.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could ask for a new law that limits vets' charges and provides exemptions for pensioners.
