Ban the sale of confectionery at the checkout in all UK shops
The UK is facing a huge obesity crisis, which is placing increasing pressure on the NHS. This petition calls for a ban on the sale of confectionery at the checkout in all UK shops (excluding confectionery shops) to stop consumers impulse buying confectionery they would otherwise not have bought.
The obesity crisis that the UK is facing is unprecedented. To tackle this issue, more preventative measures ought to be taken. This petition offers such an idea. A simple idea, but one that can make a difference.
