Motorway lights on M66 switched off - why?

Sign reads 'Street Lighting not in use' - Why?

Why were the lights put there - why?

We pay for this service - why? - they are now switched off!

Do health and safety know about this?

Terrible motorway accident in Taunton - visibility poor.

And God said........ Let there be Light.

This appears simply to be requesting information - for which it would be more appropriate to write to the Highways Agency. If the petitioner wishes motorway lighting to be switched on wherever it is installed, the petition should say so.
