Have a form of Jury Duty for political engagement (A Citizens' Assembly)
We have elections every 5 years, but outside of those there's no real mechanism for politicians to engage and work with a normal group of voters. A random selection of voters who meet part time for one session of Parliament could be a great way to properly look at the issues and improve UK politics.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. It's clear that you'd like to create a citizens' assembly but it's not clear what you'd like a citizens' assembly to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
