Stop the systematic slaughter of dolphins in Japan
Dolphin drive hunting is common practice in Japan in places such as Taiji Cove. Despite exposés which have resulted in international criticism, thousands of dolphins are still being caught in drive hunts each year, and either being used for their meat or ending up in dolphinariums

International campaigns exist but the backing of the UK government is crucial to create a change in this barbaric practice.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you want to protect dolphins from drive hunting in Japan, but it is not clear what action you want the UK Government or Parliament to take.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking the Government and Parliament to urge the Japanese government to ban dolphin hunts, if that's what you'd like to happen.
