Require local councils to address drainage problems.
Drains full of soil and rubbish, grass growing from them, covered with tarmac after road resurfacing etc. Not capable of the basic function of drainage and councils not cleaning them out and making them fit for purpose.
A walk where I live would confirm that half the drains will not do their job because of lack of maintenance.
Councils use climate change as the excuse.
The government should require them to have gully machines to do this work? If not they should be liable for their inaction?

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Local councils are already responsible for public drains, so we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
