Article 8 HRA petition against planned Gov opt out.
The UK should respect and uphold all principles of the HRA and not seek to cherry pick those parts that fit with its own agenda.The Government say that article 8 has allowed criminals and terrorists sanctuary and protection from action,yet the proportion of these cases is minute in comparison to those who have sought to rely on article 8 for lawful and legitimate reasons.The Government should abandon plans to meddle with international law,and instead deal with any shortcomings that exist within the current frameworks.
