Petition Action

Re-brand British airports after Great British individuals

Additional Information

As part of the Government's 'Great British' campaign to promote the best of Britain to the world this petition hereby calls on the Department for Transport to rename UK airports after prominent British historical figures.

It further calls on the government to hold a nation-wide public vote on whom the airports should be named after.

For example London Winston Churchill, Birmingham Edward Elgar and Edinburgh Logie Baird would be much better than Heathrow et al and promotes to the world 'Great British' achievements across a broad range of fields including - but not limited to - leadership, music and science.
