Ban unnecessarily loud vehicles, esp. motorbikes/cars with modified exhausts
Noise pollution is a blight on city life. Air pollution is much talked about, but the sound of vehicles roaring past at night is a direct cause of stress. Many cars and motorbikes/mopeds are modified to make a louder noise. This is unnecessary and should be banned over a certain decibel limit.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not exactly sure what you want the Government or Parliament to do. In particular, we're not sure what you mean by "unnecessarily loud vehicles". We're also not sure whether you to ban vehicles with over a certain noise level, or whether you only want to ban the use of modified exhausts.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. If you want engine noise emissions to be tested during MOTs, you may wish to sign this petition instead:

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
