Impose a vehicle noise limit on all motorised vehicles, including motorcycles
Motorcycle use is on the rise as more people look for ways to dodge traffic. But why should this come at the expense of everyone else? Every day, motorcycle noise terrorises pedestrians and cyclists, and every night it wakes countless people - even babies! It doesn't have to be this way...
“The number of powered two wheelers registered for the road has been steadily increasing... The number of people taking motorcycle tests has also been going up annually for the past four years.”
Tony Campbell, CEO MCIA
This is a worrying trend. People are losing sleep, stressed, and increasingly find our streets unpleasant from excessive motorcycle noise.
We can solve this! There are quiet motorcycles and there's no reason they can't all be. It's time parliament step in and get the job done.
