Petition Action

To ask the Prime Minister and all MPs to encourage the FA to defy the FIFA ban on the use of the poppy during the forthcoming England on 12/11/11

Additional Information

We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister, Her Majesty's Government and Members of Parliament to encourage the Football Association, Mr Fabio Capello and the England football squad to defy the FIFA ban on the poppy emblem, and wear it with pride at their forthcoming match against Spain on Saturday 12th November 2011.

The poppy is not a political symbol, but a symbol of immense pride and eternal gratitude in all those heroes who have protected the freedom we hold so dear. We will never forget.
