Make public stadiums and arenas ban or charge for single use plastic cups.

Petition Details

Make all stadiums, public arenas and any venue using plastic cups/bottles either ban the use of these and use a paper alternative or have a deposit scheme where a charge is applied for anyone using a plastic cup/bottle and is refunded when the cup/bottle is returned.

Plastic takes between 500-1000 years to degrade.

50% of sea turtles have consumed plastic.

1,000,000 sea birds and 100,000 marine animals are killed each year due to plastic waste.

There is more micro-plastic in the sea then stars in the Milky Way.

Single use bags, Straws, cups and bottle are the most common type of plastic pollution found in the ocean.

All the plastic that has ever been made is still around in one shape or another (excluding that which has been incinerated)
