Current status: Rejected
Rejection code: honours (see below for details)
Take away Sir Christopher Chope' s knighthood.
Sir Christopher Chope's knighthood brings shame to the honours system, given his history of blocking entirely reasonable legislation, culminating in the "upskirting" bill. He deserves to be forced to forfeit this title as an example to other MPs who seem to enjoy such legislative wrecking.
Other legislation he has blocked or voted against:
Pardoning Alan Turing
Equal marriage
Outlawing revenge evictions
Exempting carers from hospital parking charges
Banning the use of animals in circus acts
Investigation of bullying by the Speaker of the House of Commons
Legal protection for Police horses and dogs being attacked
Legislation he has advocated:
Abolishing the minimum wage
Reintroduction of the death penalty
Reintroduction of conscription
A "Burka ban"
