Petition Action

Mobile phone use when driving - causing death and misery

Additional Information

Reduce deaths on the road by people using mobile phones. At present it is felt that the Police are more concerned about raising revenue and handing out points in stead of tackling the problem head on! No more fines, No more driving penalties — give the police the powers to remove the phone and sim there and then, destroying the sim in front of the offender. Give the seized phone to one of the phone charities. This could be linked into phone companies, who would ensure that a replacement phone could only be bought at full cost price, this would make you think twice about using the phone when driving
