Stop HS2 Developers Demolishing the *Wet Woodland* area at Denham Country Park

Petition Details

Wet Woodland should be protected by law! The area is clearly wet woodland, but not being recognised as such. There are approximately 2000 different wild species in this area. Once these areas are gone, they are gone for good!!

Additional Information

There needs to be No Net Loss of biodiversity in London. We and our future generations cannot afford to lose these areas which are important for air/water quality and for general mental wellbeing of those that use these spaces.

The Mid-Colne Valley Site of Metropolitan Importance (SMI) for nature conservation is too important to be lost. Priority habitats and species must not be swept under the carpet.

Wet woodlands are UK most productive habitats equal to our rain forests there are not many left in London.
