Petition Action

Denounce Trump's policy of separating children from parents at the US border

Petition Details

The government of the UK has a legal and moral duty to speak out directly and publicly against the practice of separating children from their families at the US border.

The UN has declared the practice to be a violation of international law.

Additional Information

Nearly 2000 children, including at least 100 under 4, have been separated from their parents at the US border.

The UN has declared the practice to be an 'arbitrary and unlawful interference in family life, and ... a serious violation of the rights of the child'.

Theresa May has refused to directly condemn this action.

Children are being abused and traumatised.

This petition calls for the government to denounce this policy and the internment of children as illegal and immoral.
