Petition Action

Stop Discriminating against UK Ancestors and Citizens Entering the UK to Remain

Petition Details

UK (British) Ancestors, Descendants, Double Descendents are being discriminated against with high Visa costs, extreme financial requirements and fees required to enter and live in the UK. This is separating families, causing legitimate British Ancestors and Citizens from entering the UK to live.

Additional Information

British Citizens, Ancestors and Descendants are not being treated equally in line with EU Passport Holders. UK Passport Holders, or their direct descendants are having to pay exorbitant Visa costs, and meet sometimes unobtainable requirements to enter to live, work and remain in the UK.Families,Children and Spouses sometimes separated for over 6 months to meet requirements. Visa costs and process for Ancestry and no definitive affordable routes to follow for double descendants are extreme.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what changes you'd like to see to immigration rules.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
