Give disabled young people more support to get on the housing ladder
The young persons network in Herefordshire which supports young people to have a voice would like government to consider supporting young people to get onto the housing ladder.
This could be by making more homes accessible throughout the uk and offering funding packages specifically targeted YP
Our lead was been trying to live independently in a rented/brought house, but has struggled to find suitable housing in his local area.
The only option that he has found so far is buying a house and then having it adapted to suit his needs this could cost thousands.
Unfortunately he is not the only disabled young person in this position thousands of young disabled people across the uk want to live independently in there own home.
I want the govt to make funding ready for accessible homes
