Use paper-based assessments for those DWP claimants who have been through abuse.
Abuse & Child Sexual Exploitation leaves a remaining scar on those who have been through the issue, meaning that talking about it can be extremely traumatic. It makes those who have been through CSE relive the events of that trauma, impacting not only their physical but mental health.
The current interview process is damaging for CSE victims. As a CSE victim I was ignored by the DWP. I was promised a Mental Health Nurse assessment and didn't see one. The general nurse didn't understand my issues. A paper-based assessment would protect victims from reliving trauma.
