Right to Rescue

Petition Details

Currently UK law does not permit for the rescue of animals in imminent danger for example by breaking a window of a hot car to rescue a dog, instead it asks we call the authorities, and take down details of the car which can waste precious time

Additional Information

Dogs can die in less than 15 minutes from heat stroke and brain damage in a hot car!

The current law states you may be able to break personal property of someone, if you believe that person will consent to the damage caused if they knew the circumstances. However this is vague and open to individual interpretation and could put the animals life at risk
