Acknowledge that animals are sentient organisms and amend this in the bill

Petition Details

Research has shown that animals are sentient organisms that can be able to perceive or feel things. It is my regret that the government has voted against this and this change will affect the future of animals including agricultural to laboratory animals.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
