The misleading of parliament is the knowing presentation of false information,a minister found to have misled parliament is expected to resign or face being sacked.Esther McVey admits to 'inadvertently' misleading parliament following criticism from the National Audit Office.She misled MPs by design

Sir Amyas (NAO)said it was "odd" that Ms McVey had told the Commons the NAO did NOT take account of recent changes in the administration of universal credit,when the report was "fully agreed" with senior officials days earlier.He also took issue with Ms McVey's assurance that UC was working, describing the claim as "not proven". Ms Greenwood MP Lab. said: "She sought to rubbish the NAO report, rather than respond to its findings".Mcvey added a rider to the report to precipitate UC purposely.
