No more than 1 junction or 5 miles of roadworks, on a motorway or A road

Petition Details

This causes a lot of congestion and stand still traffic, there is more likely to be a road traffic incident in roadworks.
Most of the time road works are only been worked on in a 1 mile stretch, there is no need for so many miles to be closed for years and years

Additional Information

M6- over 20 miles of motorway 2 miles of workers max, incidents at least 1 aday,
M5 1 junction 2-3,bridge repairs hardly any incidents and not as much congestion
