Make sign language an essential lesson for children to learn in schools

Petition Details

Help the future be more inclusive by making sign language an essential lesson to learn in public and private schools across the UK. What a wonderful and beautiful world that will be where people hard of hearing can feel more connected to the world. Lets create more opportunities in the future.

Additional Information

Help save the silence by allowing the future which is our children to learn sign language. Friendship and communication is a beautiful thing. Lets open more opportunities for people in the future to achieve their dreams.
Approximately 9 million people in the UK have hearing loss. Around 1 in every 1000 children is born with a severe or profound hearing loss. 90% of all deaf children are born to hearing parents. 1/3 people between the ages 65-75 will suffer from hearing loss. Save the silence.
