Petition Action

If dog is left in a car on hot day you should legally be able to smash window.

Petition Details

When UK gets a warm spell people are forgetting the dangers of leaving dogs in cars regardless of windows being wound down.
It is inhumane, life threatening and totally unnecessary.
It is allowed in the States and with evidence of crime should be allowed here. Also penalty charge for owner.

Additional Information

All it takes is a look on Facebook, sometimes a trip to your local supermarket car park to find dogs being kept in cars.
I have experienced this awful situation myself where I have called 999 and been told there is no one to come out, I understand there may be pressing matters at hand however there should be an animal department. RSPCA can't do anything either.
As I said, not often does the UK have warm weather so least we can do is keep these poor animals safe from their owners stupidity.
