Petition Action

Stop the monopolisation of sponsorship by betting companies in English football.

Petition Details

A large number of people struggle on a day to day basis with addictions - one of which is gambling. Not only do televised football games receive a large number of gambling advertisements but a large amount of footballing teams are sponsored by large betting corporations - making them unavoidable.

Additional Information

Of the kits that have been released/revealed so far this season, an astonishing number of teams are sponsored by betting companies.

Crystal Palace, Everton, Huddersfield, Newcastle, West Ham and Wolves all host betting sponsors in the Premier League, whilst Aston Villa, Birmingham, Bolton, Brentford, Bristol City, Derby, Hull, Ipswich, Boro, Norwich, Nottingham Forest, Preston, QPR, Stoke and Swansea host them in the EFL.

Four of the above EFL teams are sponsored by the same company, 32Red.
