Baby reflux awareness campaign
The basis of this e-petition is to request that:
Ensure that all health professionals responsible and in contact with children, have a basic awareness of baby reflux, the different types, the warning signs and the treatment that may be required.
More awareness is raised to expectant and new mothers on baby reflux, the signs, the symptoms and the action required
Local GP's are able to review and diagnose as early as possible when a child is suffering reflux, in particular where this may be silent reflux, where the child may show no sign of vomiting, but has increased pain, reduced milk intake, failure to thrive, reduced weight gain.
Ensure that health visitors and professionals, carefully review and consider the advice provided to new moms on the lack of ability for their baby to gain weight and to be alerted on baby's that significantly reduce their milk intake on a regular pattern alongside signs of distress.
