Petition Action

A programme to help the homeless get their lives back on track

Petition Details

Offer mental health support, temporary housing, drug/substance misuse, employability and education to the homeless to prevent the increasing percentage of humans living on concrete, struggling to stay alive and find happiness, this will decrease the UK’s homelessness issue and benefit our nation.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We understand that you'd like to see more action taken to combat homelessness, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the UK Government or Parliament to do.

After the Homelessness Reduction Act was passed by Parliament last year, the Government introduced a plan of action to reduce homelessness earlier this year - you can find out more about it here:

www.gov.uk/government/news/new-government-initiative-to-reduce-rough-sleeping

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
