Put in place a maximum working temperature in the work place.

Petition Details

There is a minimum working temperature of 13C for manual work and 16C for other work, so why is there no maximum temperature. There should be an upper limit of 24C which would mean employers would be forced to act and a maximum of 30C where employers can send staff home or further action taken.

Additional Information

if working in the cold is dangerous so can working in the heat can. working in higher temperatures can cause heat stress or heat stroke these can include symptoms of:
an inability to concentrate
muscle cramps
heat rash
severe thirst - a late symptom of heat stress
fainting
heat exhaustion - fatigue, giddiness, nausea, headache, moist skin
heat stroke - hot dry skin, confusion, convulsions and eventual loss of consciousness.
