11 Billion pound irrelevance by government to brainwash us into having a smart meter . 100 million pounds has been allocated to advertise this scandalous waste of money .The technology will be obsolete within 5 years. The first ones already installed are now obsolete.

Countering the lies :Smart meters are not free - estimated 11 Billion pounds , although the consumer pays for it . Greed will prevail long after the roll-out as they make meter readers redundant , pocket the savings and plunge millions more into fuel poverty .
The energy firms can introduce "surge pricing" in order to charge more at peak times,
Smart meters act like a spy in your home , all the data is stored on servers could be hacked.
Estimated bills will continue in poor signal reception areas preventing transmission of data.
